Traveling from the South - Wellington Head along the lakefront - State Highway 1 (lake on the left hand side). Continue until you see 'Ruapehu St' on your right hand side, keep going past there, as there road veers round a corner, there is a road on your left called 'Ferry Rd', turn down there and follow it down to the Boat Harbour. Traveling from the North - Auckland / Rotorua Come into Taupo down the hill and over the 'Control gate bridge' continue round the corner (Woolworths supermarket on your left) - there is a road on your right hand side, but there is NO RIGHT TURN ALLOWED so you need to get in the right hand lane, turn right round the round about as if you were heading back out of town and then turn left into 'Redoubt St', follow it past the domain and tennis club and down to the boat harbor.
